July 19 - 20, 2008 QUILTING THROUGH TIME A quilt show presented by the Ridge Meadows Quilters Guild. Held during the Maple Ridge Fest, 23448 105th Ave, Maple Ridge. Saturday 10 am to 6 pm, Sunday noon to 4 pm. Traditional and art quilts, demonstrations, merchant mall, raffle quilt and displays by six guest guilds. The fair is free, quilt show admission $2.00. July 26, 2008 GARDEN OF QUILTS quilt show on Mayne Island, BC at the Japanese Garden Dinner Bay Park. Presented by the Mayne Island Quilters' Guild.

August 2, 2008 OUT ON A LIMB -  a backyard quilt show on Saturday, from 10 am – 4 pm. Weather permitting, it will be at 3881 Hurst Street, in south Burnaby. Admission is by donation, with all proceeds going to the Marguerite Dixon Society.

August 17 – 19, 2008 JUDY NIEMEYER will be at a 3 –day retreat at Haida Gwaii, Queen Charlotte Islands. Hosted by all island quilters and crafters from the Queen Charlotte Islands, this retreat is open to all who wish to attend. Judy has new paper piecing patterns to see at www.quiltworx.com. August 20 – 24, 2008 GIBSONS LANDING presents their 9th Annual Fibre Arts Festival. It will be held at Elphinstone High School, 840 Gibsons Way. It will be open Tuesday from 2 – 5 pm, Wednesday to Saturday 8 am – 5 pm. There will be workshops, a merchant mall, an artisan market and many different fibre arts on display. Out of Province Shows and Displays for 2008

August 8 - 10, 2008 QUILTFEST 2008  by Association of Pacific Northwest Quilters. Show features quilts from BC, Alberta, Yukon, NWT, Alaska, Idaho, Montana and Washington and includes lectures and workshops. For more info see their web page.

September 1 – 30, 2008 QUILT WALK IN THE SHOPS is presented by the Fidalgo Island Quilters. The quilts will be displayed in downtown La Conner shops for the whole month.

September 26 – 28, 2008 La Conner Quilt Museum presents “ENCORE!” Another Blue Ribbon Quilt Fest. It will be at the La Conner Museum, open 10 am – 5 pm. September 25 – 27, 2008 NW QUILTING EXPO is on at the Portland Oregon Expo Center. There will be over 400 quilts on display, as well as classes, a merchant mall and all the trimmings to go with their 8th Annual Show! The Fruits of Our Labour Quilt Competition will be held on Sept. 4, 5 & 6, 2008 at Victoria Park in Owen Sound, Ont. The theme for the wallhangings will be "Celestial Delights" and the deadline for entries will be July 25, 2008. For a brochure or further information contact  gpennac@sympatico.ca
